Mark's cumulative training and experience encompasses over 20 years of personal and professional development using mind, body and spirit-based approaches. Mark received his Doctorate degree from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. His integrated and holistic perspective toward discovering, developing, and maintaining wellness utilizes mindfulness informed therapies and mindfulness-based interventions. Expertise in several fields of psychology include substance use disorders, addictive behaviors, psychosocial-oncology, sports psychology, dual-diagnosis, co-occurring mental health and medical disorders, men’s support, anxiety, depression and group therapy. His eclectic theoretical foundation is built upon cognitive behavioral, humanistic, existential and constructivist ideology. However, it is continuously emerging and shifting to encompass a full spectrum of new and old therapies. His action-based and integrated conceptualization of the human condition is focused on present moment awareness, pragmatic interpretation and thoughtfully grounded by acceptance. Teaching, consultation, supervision, geropsychology, professional/personal coaching, and supporting persons in long term recovery are additional areas of interest.
